The practice
A quiet room where your animal is handled with care
Aqui Há Gato e Cãopanhia is a small-animal practice in Santo António dos Olivais, Coimbra, for cats and dogs. The name plays on a Portuguese saying: «aqui há gato» is what you say when something doesn't add up. That's usually the moment people call us.
Clients describe the same things again and again: a calm, pleasant room, vets who are gentle and respectful with every animal, from a nervous cat to a large dog, and a team that is always ready to explain. Some animals have been with us for years, and when one needs long follow-up, we stay with it.

Mariana and Flávia are excellent vets, always ready to help and answer questions. Years ago Isac had a urinary infection and Mariana basically saved him. Since February 2025 J has had kidney failure, and both of them have been a tremendous help with tips, effective consultations and suggestions.

Everything went well with our little dog, who had pain in her leg. A few days later, after a short treatment, the pain was gone. Thank you from our Lady.

The care and attention they give, together with all the professionalism and availability, make this my vet of choice.
